How It Works

I am a state licensed child care provider in Utah. I did child care for three years before taking eight months off to obtain my bachelors. Getting back into things has been really difficult, especially with the economy. Parents seem to have less respect for child care providers and their pockets when they are hurting for money themselves. I thought I would start a blog for providers to discuss clients that have been disrespectful. If this gets really big, I will adjust my site and try to make it more user friendly. I just wanted to give it a try.

Please only state the facts. Parents can be really malicious and do some pretty distasteful things, but let's not stoop to their level. Just let other people know what they need to watch out for. Also, feel free to post comments about great clients and what you like.

If for any reason there is a comment posted that is not entirely true, the other party is welcome to contact me to explain the situation. datenightllc@gmail.com

Thanks! I hope this helps some hard working women avoid heartache at the expense of disrespectful parents.

P.S. In order to be fair, parents are more than welcome to post comments on their providers. Use the same rules as providers and only state the truth.

Parents in Need

Here is a great place for parents to post their needs.

Post your child(ren)s age, your days and hours needed, and the locations you are willing to go to. Go ahead and put any other pertinent information, especially a way contact you.

I have also provided links for different agencies that can help fulfill your needs (in the right side column under "Helpful Links"). These links will only put you in touch with LICENSED providers. It is difficult to obtain and maintain a license, so it is important for parents to be selective and only use licensed providers.

Email datenightllc@gmail.com when your needs are fulfilled and I will delete your request.

Information on Links

In the right column I have provided links to several helpful sites. The sites contain several helpful tips, ideas, printouts, and more for parents, teachers, child care providers, and kids. I have loved looking over these different sites to find new ideas. One of my favorite things is on the DLTK Kids site. There is an option to personalize tracing paper. I like to make personalized papers for kids that have their name on them, or other words that they are working on learning to write. Enchanted Learning is one of my favorite sites. It is intended to be one that you pay for in order to use, but I have found a way around this. Just do a google search for a username and password and you will find out how to use the site for free (I feel bad enough using it, I do not want to advertise it too!).

Feel free to comment on any of the great things you find on these sites or even to add more sites that you have found.

HAVE FUN!!!!
